Thomas Kirk

Thomas Kirk has a strong background in data engineering and management. Thomas is currently working as a Lead Data Engineer at Kesko - K-Group since May 2023. Before that, they worked at Tietoevry as the Head of Data & AI Advisory and Head of Solution and Business Development for Data Management from August 2021 to May 2023. Prior to Tietoevry, they served as the Head Of Software Development at Finavia from January 2020 to July 2021. Thomas also has experience at Nordea as a Senior Business Developer, focusing on data quality, governance, and customer and counterparty data. Thomas worked at Nordea from 2015 to 2020. Earlier in their career, they worked as an Information Management Consultant at Siili Solutions, Consultant at Accenture, and as a Senior Analyst Programmer at Capital International. Thomas'sexpertise in data management and development extends back to the late 1990s when they held roles as a Senior Developer at eSubstance and as a Consultant at Fulcrum Solutions.

Thomas Kirk attended the University of Cambridge from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained an MEng and MA in Electrical and Information Sciences. Prior to that, they attended Rainham Mark Grammar School from 1987 to 1994, although no specific degree or field of study was provided. Thomas also holds additional certifications, including being a CDMC Certified Trainer, CDMC Accredited V1, DCAM Certified V2, and SAFe® 4 Certified Agilist, which they obtained in October 2017.
