Marcel Souffrant

Academic Chief Resident at Kessler Institute For Rehabilitation

Marcel Souffrant, MD, currently serves as the Academic Chief Resident and Resident Physician in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation since July 2022. Marcel completed a preliminary year as a Resident Physician in the Department of Internal Medicine at Northwell Health from June 2021 to June 2022. Marcel earned a Doctor of Medicine degree from the Donald & Barbara Zucker School of Medicine, where studies were completed from July 2016 to May 2021, following a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from North Carolina State University. Additionally, Marcel has a Certificate in Foundation of Public Health from the University at Albany School of Public Health and has experience in research and public health communication, including a role as a Graduate Research Assistant at the UNC Center for Health Equity Research. Earlier experience includes contributions as a Research Scholar at MyHealthImpactNetwork and a Business Analyst Intern at Secure EDI.
