Mark Petrov

Mark joins Key after a successful career in capital markets and brings valuable expertise working within highly regulated environments and across diverse financial and structured products to our team.

Mark has helped raise significant growth and venture capital and built and managed large, diverse teams both in Canada and internationally. He held progressively senior roles at CPP Investment Board, TD Securities and G3 Capital Corp before becoming an entrepreneur and founding Xtreme Blockchain Labs (XBL). XBL is a technology company building blockchain-enabled issuance and portfolio management infrastructure for the digital assets industry. The company’s success under Mark's leadership led to it being acquired by Kognitiv Corporation, where he served as the head of capital markets before joining Key.

He received a Bachelor of Mathematics, majoring in Mathematics/Financial Analysis and Risk Management, from the University of Waterloo. In his “life beyond work” Mark's an avid traveler and passionate athlete. He’s planning his next trip and looking forward to surpassing the 30 country mark this year.
