Rae Ellen Bichell

Rae Ellen Bichell is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in health and science reporting. Currently serving as the Colorado Correspondent for Kaiser Health News since October 2020, Bichell previously worked as a regional reporter for the Mountain West News Bureau, covering multiple states and contributing to various reputable publications including NPR and the Denver Post. Bichell's freelance journalism experience includes reporting for high-profile outlets such as NPR, OZY, and Wired, along with editing scientific articles for broader audiences. Prior roles at NPR included positions as a Science Reporter and Assistant Editor, as well as a Kroc Fellow. Educationally, Bichell holds a Bachelor of Arts in Physical and Biological Anthropology from Yale University.
