Gilles Merlier

Gilles Merlier is a seasoned procurement and project manager with extensive experience in international cooperation and development. Currently serving as a procurement manager at KfW since June 2022, Gilles oversees procurement procedures for projects financed by KfW across West and Central Africa and Europe. Prior roles include senior project manager at AMBERO Consulting GmbH, focusing on good governance and civil society, and technical assistant at GIZ, where Gilles supported public-private partnership projects. Earlier career highlights include managing e-waste recycling initiatives in Cameroon with La Guilde and leading CSR projects in partnership with L'Oréal and Cognis in Morocco. Gilles holds a Master 2 degree in Development Project Engineering from the University of Lille 1 and a Master 1 in International Business and Finance from Aix-Marseille University.
