Lakyra Banks

Lakyra Banks is currently serving as the 4 PM Evening Anchor and Reporter, as well as the Weekend Anchor/Reporter and Multimedia Journalist at KHBS/KHOG 40/29 & THE ARKANSAS CW since May 2023. Prior experience includes working as an Associate Producer for Hearst Television from June 2021 to September 2023, where responsibilities encompassed producing rundowns, writing and editing content, and designing graphics. Lakyra also gained experience as a reporter and anchor at UATV News, where story pitching and live reporting were key duties. Internships at KHBS/KHOG-TV and various other organizations, including the Emma Bowen Foundation focusing on media diversity, further enriched Lakyra's skill set. Lakyra Banks holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism with a Spanish minor from the University of Arkansas and is a graduate of North Little Rock High School.
