Uma leads the Counselling, Social Impact Monitoring & Research teams at KSWA.
After completing her MS in Psychotherapy, she joined KSWA in the year 2007 as a volunteer before accepting a full-time assignment as a Counsellor.
She was instrumental in the development of “Soch Ka Parivartan”, a curriculum aimed at changing the mindset of youth towards livelihood.
She set up the Social Impact monitoring Department at KSWA which includes a 12-seater call center that continuously collects data on impact of the work done by YP. She also spearheads all activities connected with Research through regular market surveys to understand Youth Aspirations, Skill gaps and Industry demands.
She has played a major role in piloting Yuva Engage, a mentoring program for start-up NGOs.
