Senior Engineer - Tech Lead at Ki Insurance

Zicong Ma has a diverse work experience in the fields of algorithm engineering, data science, and technology analysis.

Starting in 2017, Zicong worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Imperial College London, where they analyzed research papers and wrote Python programs to analyze the trend of exploit kits.

In 2018, Zicong joined UBS as a Technology Analyst, where they helped build a testing framework for a risk control system and extended it to handle data from different trading platforms.

From 2019 to 2020, Zicong held two roles at UBS, first as a Big Data Software Engineer and then as a Data Scientist in the AI Center of Excellence. In these roles, they focused on natural language processing, implemented and customized language models, and applied them to real use cases within the bank.

In 2019, Zicong also worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant at Imperial College London, specifically in the Dyson Robotics Lab.

Lastly, Zicong is currently working at Ki Insurance as a Tech Lead - Algorithm Engineer. In this role, they are responsible for algorithmically offering capacity to brokers in real time and developing scalable platforms using Python microservices architecture.

Zicong Ma completed their high school education at King's College London Maths School from 2014 to 2016. They then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Joint Mathematics and Computer Science (BEng) from Imperial College London, graduating in 2019.

Additionally, Zicong Ma obtained several certifications, including the Machine Learning Specialization, Natural Language Processing Specialization, Natural Language Processing with Attention Models, Natural Language Processing with Sequence Models, Natural Language Processing with Classification and Vector Spaces, Natural Language Processing with Probabilistic Models, Machine Learning, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, Neural Networks and Deep Learning, and Sequence Models. These certifications were obtained from Coursera and Microsoft between 2020 and 2021.
