Leah Kane

Leah Kane serves as the Privacy and Compliance Officer in the Governance Department at VMCH since May 2024, overseeing legislative compliance and privacy matters. Concurrently, Leah is a volunteer External Expert Member of the Quality and Risk Board Subcommittee at Kids First Australia. Prior experience includes a Compliance Advisor role in the Legal Department at Mercy Health Australia for eight years, where Leah managed the compliance system and advised executives on legislative obligations. Previous positions encompass Managing Director at Complete Training and Compliance Pty Ltd, Aged Care Quality Assessor at the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, Quality and Compliance Officer at Western Region Health Centre, Solicitor roles at Corrs Chambers Westgarth and Andersen Legal, and Taxation Law Tutor at the University of Melbourne. Leah holds a Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Tasmania, a Master's in Taxation from Monash University, and several other compliance-related certifications.
