Sebastian Ormaechea

Sebastian Ormaechea is a data science and machine learning professional with extensive experience in agriculture and environmental science. Currently serving as a Professor in the Big Data & Machine Learning module for agriculture at Universidad Austral de Rosario since July 2022, Sebastian also holds a position as a Data Scientist at Kilimo. Previously, Sebastian worked as a Data Scientist at IThreex Global and Anyone AI, where participation in a competitive fellowship program focused on machine learning accelerated career development. With a background as a researcher and extensionist agent at the National Institute for Agricultural Technology, Sebastian contributed to scientific publications and led research groups. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Agricultural Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires, a Post Graduate certificate in Data Science from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, and a Magister in Natural Resources.
