Karsten Veith has over 28 years of work experience in the architecture and engineering field. Karsten is currently the Managing Director at Killa Design I Architecture, where they have been since January 2021. Prior to this role, they served as the Operations Manager and Principal Structural Engineer at the same company from October 2019 to December 2020 and from December 2016 to November 2020 respectively.
Before joining Killa Design I Architecture, Karsten worked at Professor Pfeifer and Partner as the Lead Structural Engineer from April 2011 to November 2016. Karsten also has experience working at Atkins, where they held the roles of Senior Structural Engineer from April 2008 to March 2011 and Project Engineer from October 2005 to March 2008.
Karsten's early experience includes positions at Mueller und Partner, where they worked as a Team Leader from September 1998 to August 2001 and as a BIM/CAD Technician from September 1993 to August 1998. Throughout their career, Karsten has consistently demonstrated their expertise and leadership in the field of architecture and engineering.
Karsten Veith has a strong educational background in engineering. Karsten obtained a Dipl.-Ing. (FH) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences, which they completed between 2001 and 2004. Karsten then pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Earthquake and Civil Engineering Dynamics at The University of Sheffield, which they completed from 2004 to 2005.
Additionally, Karsten Veith has obtained several certifications in their field. In 2005, they became a Member (MICE) of the Institution of Civil Engineers. In 2006, they became a Member (MIMechE) of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers. In 2010, they obtained the title of EUR ING from the FEANI - European Federation of Engineering Associations. In 2011, they achieved the status of Chartered Engineer (CEng) from the Engineering Council. Finally, in 2015 they obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, and in 2017 they obtained the License for unlimited heights (UL) from the Dubai Municipality.
