Jan Torres

Jan Torres has had a diverse career in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2000, they began as a Chemistry Laboratory Technician/Instructor at the University of Central Florida. In 2001, they moved to the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, where they worked as a Research Associate. In 2003, they joined Watson Pharmaceuticals as a Chemist II - Sr. Chemist. In 2010, they began working at Teva Pharmaceuticals as a Quality Control & Operations Supervisor. In this role, they were responsible for developing strategies to coordinate laboratory testing and release of samples, performing product assessments, maintaining and assessing group-specific and departmental metrics, evaluating proposed changes to Pharmacopeia monographs, coordinating laboratory investigations, and participating in FDA inspections readiness initiatives. In 2020, they joined Kimera Labs Inc. as General Manager.

Jan Torres obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) from the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras in 1995. Her major was Biology and their minor was Chemistry. Jan began their studies in 1992.
