Lara Oerter

Lara Oerter has an extensive work experience in various leadership positions in the technology and education sectors. Lara currently serves as the President and Chief Executive Officer of KinderSystems, a leading provider of subsidy management software solutions for state agencies, Head Start programs, and child care providers. Prior to this role, Lara was a member of Chief, a private network designed to empower senior women leaders.

Before joining KinderSystems and Chief, Lara was the Owner of Boulder Strategy LLC. Prior to that, they served as the Chief Operating Officer of Avenu Insights & Analytics, a market leader in state and local government software and technology. Lara has also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at PrecisionHawk, a market leader in the commercial drone industry.

Lara's previous experience includes serving as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Operations at TNTP, a K-12 education reform nonprofit organization. Lara also worked as the Senior Vice President and Chief of Staff at Blackboard, where they played a key role in the growth strategy and oversaw mergers and acquisitions.

Before their time at Blackboard, Lara held various roles, including Vice President of Strategy & Product Management and Director of Product Marketing & Management. Lara started their career as a Product Manager at USinternetworking and began their professional journey as an Associate Consultant at Deloitte.

Throughout their career, Lara has demonstrated strong leadership skills, strategic vision, and a track record of driving organizational success.

Lara Oerter completed their Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) at Harvard Business School from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Government and Economics from Georgetown University, where they studied from 1991 to 1995. Before their college education, Lara attended Cherry Creek High School.
