Janine Iamunno has a long and varied career in communications and public relations. Janine began their career in 1997 at Arnold Shapiro Productions as Manager of Communications and Director of Communications & Special Projects. In this role, they served as the chief media contact for all projects, acted as a spokesperson for the company president, and managed all communications, publicity and marketing. In 2002, they moved to MTV as Sr. Manager of Communications, where they managed publicity for network series, specials, events, talent/executives, and pro-social initiatives. From 2005 to 2010, they worked at CNN as Senior Director of Public Relations, where they created and sustained new consumer and trade media relationships and headed up all communications for sister network HLN. Janine then moved to AOL's Patch as Vice President of Communications, where they were responsible for the development and execution of all internal and external communications strategies. In 2012, they joined the University of North Carolina Wilmington as Chief Communications Officer and Executive Director of University Relations. Most recently, in 2019, they founded their own company, MyKinfo LLC, and currently serves as its CEO. In 2022, they will join Microsoft as Executive Communications Manager.
Janine Iamunno holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Writing for Television, Radio & Film from Syracuse University. Janine also holds a certification from Microsoft for the Microsoft Global Hackathon 2022, which they obtained in August 2022.
