Girmay Zahilay

Girmay Zahilay is a Councilmember for District 2 at King County, WA. Prior to this role, Girmay founded and served as a Board Member at Rising Leaders, Inc. Girmay has also worked as an attorney specializing in start-up companies at Perkins Coie LLP and in mergers & acquisitions at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP & Affiliates. Additionally, Girmay has contributed to various organizations such as The White House, Davis Wright Tremaine LLP, Axiom, Congressional Hunger Center, RESULTS and RESULTS Educational Fund, and City Harvest in different roles ranging from Law Clerk to Team Coordinator to Emerson Fellow.
