Melissa McCall-Burton

Melissa McCall-Burton serves as the Director of Risk Management and Medical Staff Services at Ballad Health Bristol Regional Medical Center since October 2019, bringing extensive experience in risk management from previous roles, including Director of Risk Management and Medical Staff Administration at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. Alongside their clinical expertise, Melissa has been an adjunct faculty member at King University since October 2014, focusing on Ethics and Legal Issues in Health Care. With a foundation in nursing from Bluefield State University and The Christ College of Nursing and Health Sciences and a Juris Doctor from the Appalachian School of Law, Melissa combines healthcare knowledge with legal proficiency to enhance risk management practices in medical settings.
