Micky Dominguez has a strong background in pastoral care and wellbeing in the education sector. They served as Head of Pastoral at King's College School Chamartin, where they were responsible for the overall welfare of students. In addition, from 2004 to 2006, Micky Dominguez attended IES Sefarad, where they completed a Técnico Superior en Integración Social degree, focusing on social work.
They have also received various additional certifications throughout their career. In 2023, Micky Dominguez obtained a certification in "A Guide to International Data Protection: Education" from Tes. Additionally, in the same year, they completed a "Child Protection Refresher 2023" course provided by Tes. In 2022, they completed certifications in "Child Protection Refresher for International Schools" and "Equality and Diversity for International Schools," both offered by Tes. In 2021, they obtained a Level 3 Advanced Safeguarding Course certificate from EduCare Learning Ltd. In 2017, they received a Youth Mental Health First Aider Certificate from Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) England. Earlier, in 2016, Micky Dominguez completed the International Programme for Middle Leaders offered by the National College for Leadership of Schools and Children's Services (formerly NCSL).
