Mahdi Masoumi is an experienced R&D engineer and scientist currently employed at Kinkelder BV since December 2022. Prior to this role, Mahdi worked as a researcher at the University of Twente from September 2018 to November 2022, focusing on the edge ductility in forming automobile steel grades, utilizing advanced microscopy techniques and digital image correlation for deformation analysis. Mahdi also completed an international internship at École Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Tarbes, where the investigation centered on heat transfer simulation during friction stir welding of aluminum alloys. Mahdi holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from École de technologie supérieure and another Master’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Amirkabir University of Technology, complementing earlier education with a Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.
