Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions and educational technologies. Currently employed at SMART Technologies since July 2010, Chris is involved in the development of hardware for innovative DViT (Digital Vision Touch) interactive whiteboards and flat panels. Prior experience includes working as an electronics contractor for Science Alberta Foundation, designing and repairing educational devices, and serving as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where responsibilities encompassed circuit design and software development for control systems in the forestry sector. Chris also contributed to academia as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary. Chris holds a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
