Joshua Fleming

Joshua Fleming has a diverse work experience in the field of software development and engineering. Joshua currently works as a Software Developer at Kinnami Software Corporation since July 2021. Prior to this, they were a Software Engineer at Geon Technologies, LLC from May 2020 to June 2021. Joshua also worked as an Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton from August 2019 to January 2020.

During their undergraduate years, Joshua held multiple roles at the University of Maryland Cyber Security Club. Joshua served as the President from May 2018 to May 2019, where they managed corporate relations, directed the vision of the organization, and maintained the CSEC Lab space. Joshua also served as a UMDCTF Staff member from September 2016 to May 2019, organizing and hosting the annual cybersecurity competition event. Additionally, they held the position of Secretary from March 2016 to May 2018, assisting in club operations and outreach.

Joshua's other experiences include being a Course Facilitator at the University of Maryland College Park, where they taught Cryptography and Binary Analysis courses from October 2017 to May 2019. Joshua was also a Backend Developer at Technica from March 2018 to November 2018, contributing to the development of a web application.

Furthermore, Joshua had two internship experiences at Booz Allen Hamilton. Joshua worked as a Summer Games Intern in 2018, where they conducted a vulnerability assessment and designed a custom PCB for firmware extraction. In 2017, they were also a Summer Games Intern, developing firmware modifications and contributing to the creation of an anonymous relay-based communications network.

Joshua's earliest work experience was as an Undergraduate Researcher at UMD BREAKERSPACE from October 2018 to May 2019, where they focused on internet of things (IoT) devices and computer and network security.

Joshua Fleming received their high school diploma from Northwest High School, where they studied from 2011 to 2015. Following that, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering with a focus on Cyber Security at the University of Maryland, from 2015 to 2019. Currently, they are enrolled at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where they are expected to complete a Master of Science degree in Computer Science by 2023.
