Edgar Ariza

Edgar Ariza has worked in the IT industry since 2011. Edgar began their career at Alianza en Comunicaciones IP S.A.S as a Technician in Repair, where they were responsible for the repair and maintenance of VHF and UHF radio communication equipment, as well as designing and implementing communication networks in those frequencies. In 2012, they joined KinPOS Corporation, where they held the roles of Chief Information Security Officer and Senior Information Security Officer. In this role, they were responsible for implementing and maintaining PCI DSS and PA DSS security standards, as well as designing and implementing secure software development processes and infrastructure management processes in the cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP). Edgar also conducted black box and white box vulnerability testing of desktop and web applications, as well as analyzing risks and threats to critical infrastructure. Additionally, they were a Senior Software Developer, responsible for developing applications for Point of Sale (POS) terminals for the financial sector, leading software projects that developed and implemented ISO 8583 messaging to entities for transactional handling, as well as interfaces for the various required transactions.

Edgar Ariza obtained their Tecnólogo en Electrónica from Universidad Distrital Francisco José de Caldas between 2008 and 2011. Edgar then continued their studies at the same university, obtaining their Ingenieria en Telecomunicaciones between 2011 and 2013. In 2015, they completed their Maestría en Seguridad de la Información at Universidad de Los Andes. In addition, they have obtained several certifications, including a Payment Card Industry Professional (PCIP) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in September 2021, an Internal Security Assessor (ISA) certification from the PCI Security Standards Council in August 2021, and a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification from the EC-Council in February 2020.
