John Bowen

John Bowen has a strong background in the insurance industry, with extensive experience in underwriting and leadership roles. John is currently the Vice President of Underwriting - Property at Kinsale Insurance, a position they have held since September 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Vice President of Underwriting at Aspera Insurance Services, Inc. starting in October 2020.

Before joining Aspera Insurance Services, Inc., John worked at Kinsale Insurance, where they held various roles over a ten-year period. These positions included Vice President of Construction, Assistant Vice President of Construction, Assistant Vice President of Small Business, Division Manager of Small Business, Executive Underwriter of Construction, Senior Underwriter of Construction, and Senior Underwriter of Excess Casualty.

John's earlier experience in the insurance industry includes roles at James River Insurance Company, where they served as a Senior Underwriter of Excess Casualty, Underwriter of Excess Casualty, and Associate Underwriter of Excess Casualty, from 2004 to 2010. With their extensive experience and expertise, John Bowen is a highly accomplished professional in the insurance field.

John Bowen completed a Management Essentials course at Harvard Business School Online in 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from James Madison University from 2001 to 2004. John also completed their freshman year at Washington College in 2000-2001, studying General Studies.
