Rachael Sherrington

Rachael Sherrington is a Senior Project Worker at Kinship. Rachael previously worked as a Project Worker within Grandparents Plus' Kinship Connect project, which aimed to build a community of interest for kinship carers and provide kinship carers with peer-to-peer support through an enhanced network of peer-led support groups. The aim was to improve mental and physical health outcomes of kinship carers by reducing the loneliness and social isolation felt by many and increasing their resilience. Rachael also worked as an Education teaching assistant at Birkby Infant & Nursery School from November 2015 to July 2020. Prior to that, they worked as a solicitor at Eaton Smith Solicitors from October 2010 to May 2011, and then at Kirklees Council from May 2011 to September 2015.
