Adel Khodakarami

Adel Khodakarami has a diverse background in the field of transportation and data science. Starting in 2007, they worked as a Transportation Planner and Modeler at Golden Roads of Alborz. From 2009 to 2010, they worked as a Project Manager and Modeler at Amood Rah Consulting Corp, where they supervised and modeled the Transportation Master Plan of Kerman, Iran. At Texas A&M University, Adel worked as a Research Assistant from 2011 to 2015. They then joined the Texas A&M Transportation Institute as a Modeler and Analyst from 2015 to 2016, conducting a sample study on the accuracy of high-speed technologies in roadside asset management. Adel then worked at BNSF Railway as a Sr OR & Advanced Analytics Specialist from 2017 to 2019. At Apple, they held two roles, Sr. Operations Research Scientist from 2020 to 2022 and Data Scientist from 2019 to 2020. Currently, Adel is working as an Applied Scientist at Amazon, starting in 2022. They also held the position of Principal Operations Research/Data Scientist at Kinta AI, starting in 2021.

Adel Khodakarami has a strong educational background in the field of engineering and has acquired additional certifications in various subjects. Adel obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Bu-Ali Sina University in the years 1998 to 2003. Following this, Adel pursued a Master's degree in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Sharif University of Technology during the years 2004 to 2006. Adel further advanced their education by completing their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Transportation and Highway Engineering from Texas A&M University from 2011 to 2016.

In addition to their formal education, Adel Khodakarami has also obtained certifications in different subjects. Adel completed the "Neural Network and Deep Learning" course from Coursera in March 2019 and acquired the "Exam P" certification from the Society of Actuaries in November 2016. Adel also completed the "Practical Machine Learning" course from Coursera in September 2016 and obtained a certification in "Statistics" from Texas A&M University in March 2016. Lastly, they have undertaken the "Introduction to TensorFlow for Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Deep Learning" course, although the specific month and year of completion are not available.
