Carla Crespo, M.Ed, is an experienced educator currently serving as a Multilingual Learners Case Manager and Assistant Principal at KIPP Chicago since June 2019. With a background in bilingual education, Carla's previous roles include Bilingual English Learner Teacher and Math Course Advisor at KIPP Texas Public Schools, where skills in curriculum modification and teacher development were honed. Carla has also contributed to educational policy as a Policy Advisor Fellow for Leadership for Educational Equity and as a Policy Fellow with The Urban Leaders Fellowship. Carla's early career included teaching positions through Teach For America and extensive involvement in student support services at Brescia University. Academically, Carla holds a Master's in Education with a focus on Special Education from Dominican University and a Master's in Elementary Education from Johns Hopkins University, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Spanish Language and Literature, and Philosophy from Brescia University.
