Michelle Behrens (She/Her/Hers)

Michelle joined KIPP DC in November 2020. She has over 12 years of legal experience, where she has negotiated hundreds of contracts, managed complex litigation, led investigations, and assessed and improved compliance programs. Before KIPP DC, Michelle practiced law at the firm Ropes & Gray from 2011 to 2020. Prior to law school, Michelle taught elementary school in the South Bronx through Teach for America. She attended Harvard College and Harvard Law School. Outside of work, Michelle enjoys distance running and chasing after her two kids and rescue dog. Michelle is from California and remains loyal to her Bay Area sports teams.
