Kelly Shields

Kelly oversees the accounting; budget; procurement; payroll; and financial planning and analysis functions.

Kelly has been a part of the KIPP Team & Family for more than six years. Prior to joining KIPP Metro Atlanta Schools, Kelly was a member of the KIPP Baltimore team as Director of Finance and Administration. Kelly’s background is in consulting as well as public school districts, as she has worked at both Baltimore County Public Schools and DC Public Schools. She is an alumna of the Education Pioneers and Strategic Data Project fellowships. Kelly is a two-time graduate of the University of Virginia, having earned a B.S. degree in Commerce with concentrations in Finance and Marketing, and an MBA from The Darden Graduate School of Business Administration.

Kelly is deeply passionate about preparing the next generation of KIPP Metro Atlanta graduates for colleges and careers of their choice. She lives in Atlanta with her husband and two young children.
