Joya Bowman

Joya Bowman has a diverse work experience ranging from teaching positions to managerial roles. Joya is currently employed as an English Teacher at KIPP Public Schools Northern California since July 2021. Previously, they worked as a Creative Writing Teacher at Just Right Reader starting from December 2020. Joya also served as a Gifted and Talented Teacher at Greenville Public School District from August 2018 to August 2021. Before that, Joya was the Concierge Manager at Expedia Local Expert in Kaua'i from August 2013 to July 2016. Prior to that, they were an Operations Manager at Kauai North Shore Limo from April 2006 to July 2013. Additionally, they contributed to education as a Literacy Resource Specialist at Kamehameha Schools from May 2008 to July 2010 and as an Assistant Coach at Swim Kauai Aquatics from December 2006 to April 2008.

Joya Bowman completed their Honors Diploma from Kamehameha Schools between 1996 and 2000. Joya then pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Music from Sarah Lawrence College from 2000 to 2004.
