Meera Pamidi has a diverse range of work experience in the education field. Meera is currently working as a Special Education Program Specialist at KIPP Public Schools Northern California since July 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Special Education Teacher at Kipp Heartwood Academy from July 2020 to June 2021.
Meera also has experience as an English Second Language Teacher, where they taught English as a Foreign Language to adults and children in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as virtually to students in China. Meera worked as a self-employed teacher from September 2019 to January 2021.
Before their international teaching experience, Meera worked as a Camp Director at Adventures in Writing Camp from June 2015 to June 2019. Meera also served as a Learning Specialist at KIPP Summit Academy from July 2011 to June 2019, where they supported students in grades 5-8 with their academic needs.
Meera's earlier experience includes working as a Special Education Teacher in the summer program at District of Columbia Public Schools (DCPS) in June 2011 and as a Special Education Teacher at West Education Campus from August 2009 to June 2011. During their time at West Education Campus, they developed and implemented curricula for students with various disabilities, achieved significant academic growth for their students, and collaborated with colleagues to improve instructional practices.
Meera began their career in the education field as a Corps Member at Teach For America from June 2009 to June 2011. Prior to that, Meera worked as a Research Assistant at Empirical Education Inc. from February 2009 to June 2009, and as a Marketing Intern at Shmoop from December 2008 to April 2009.
Throughout their career, Meera has consistently demonstrated a commitment to education and has gained expertise in special education, curriculum development, instructional improvement, and leadership roles.
Meera Pamidi pursued their education at George Mason University from 2009 to 2011. During this time, they obtained a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree with a specialization in Special Education. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at UCLA from 2004 to 2008. At UCLA, Meera Pamidi earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science.
