Irbania Tavares serves as the Culinary Arts Director at Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club, responsible for the development and implementation of a culinary program for youth. Tavares has extensive experience in culinary education and nutrition, including roles as Head Culinary Assistant for Ellie Krieger, Curriculum Developer and Culinary Instructor Consultant at Greenwich House, and WITS Chef at Wellness in the Schools. Tavares has also contributed to community-oriented initiatives through positions at FEAST, City Harvest, and the NYC Department of Health. Tavares holds a Chef's Diploma from the Natural Gourmet Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hunter College, alongside ongoing graduate studies in Immigration Law and writing at various institutions.
