Ömür Filiz

Ömür Filiz has a diverse and extensive work experience in various industries. In 2021, they worked as a Senior Expert Consultant for The World Bank's Global Smart City Partnership Program in Izmir, Turkey. Ömür utilized data, technologies, and available resources to improve city planning, management, and service delivery, as well as to engage citizens.

In 2019, Filiz founded Ventourage Growth Lab, where they served as the CEO. The company helped businesses scale globally, working with numerous scale-ups across different sectors and technologies. They focused on achieving commercial success for B2B, product-ready tech businesses.

Starting in 2015, Filiz co-founded and acted as the Chairman of the Board of Directors for Technolera Cofoundry Studio. This tech venture building studio focused on consistent startup creation by utilizing shared expertise and resources. They generated startup ideas internally and partnered with seasoned entrepreneurs or corporates as multi-functional co-founders.

Filiz also worked as a JV Partner for META Profiling Limited, starting in 2016. Ömür was involved in identifying entrepreneurial talent and predicting entrepreneurial success using META's scientific tool.

As a Catalyst Investor, Filiz contributed to two companies. In 2019, they worked with Popilight - Global Heartbeat Ltd., which developed breakthrough technology for synchronizing smart devices and creating unique multimedia experiences. In 2018, they served as a Catalyst Investor for ULAK Yazilim Teknoloji ve Tasimacilik A.S.

Additionally, Filiz co-founded Kiraplus in 2016, and worked as a JV Partner for Altdata Analytics from 2015 to 2020.

In 2015, they were a Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for StartersHub, a platform/early stage fund backed by Gedik Venture Capital Investment Trust. Ömür later became an Executive Board Member for StartersHub and served as Chairman for Gedik Venture Capital Investment Trust.

Filiz's earlier experience includes working as a Managing Director for MV Holding, a prominent Turkish company co-founder of Turkcell and major shareholder of KVK, a leading mobile phone distributor.

Ömür Filiz attended Bornova Anadolu Lisesi from 1982 to 1989. Then, from 1989 to 1995, Ömür Filiz studied Economy at Boğaziçi University.
