Riitta Kajander

Riitta Kajander has extensive work experience in various roles and sectors. Riitta is currently serving as the HR Director at the Lutheran Church in Helsinki since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Ministerial Adviser at the Prime Minister's Office from March 2015 to February 2021. Riitta also held the position of Director of Finance and Administration at the VATT Institute for Economic Research from August 2017 to March 2019. Riitta has also worked as a Ministerial Adviser at the Ministry of Transport and Communications from 2007 to 2015. Riitta has experience in HR management as an HR Manager at the Ministry of the Environment of Finland from January 2013 to July 2014 and as the Manager of HR Change Management at the State Treasury from March 2012 to January 2013. Riitta began their career in the public sector, initially as an HR Coordinator at the Ministry of Defence from March 2002 to December 2003, and later as an HR Assistant at the Ministry of Education and Culture, Finland from March 2002 to February 2003. Riitta also gained experience in corporate communications as a Communications Assistant at Outokumpu Oyj from May 1998 to December 1999.

Riitta Kajander has a diverse education history. In 1996, they began their studies at the University of Helsinki, where they pursued a Master's degree in Political Science and Government. Riitta completed their degree in 2002. During their time at the University of Helsinki, from 1999 to 2000, Riitta also engaged in additional studies at Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu, focusing on HR management and marketing.
