Carter R. Todd

Carter R. Todd is the Vice President, General Counsel, and Corporate Secretary of Kirkland's. Carter has served in this role since March 2013. Prior to joining Kirkland's, Todd was the Executive Vice President and General Counsel of Ryman Hospitality Properties (formerly Gaylord Entertainment) from October 2012 to March 2013. Carter also served as a District Councilman for the Green Hills area of Nashville from October 2007 to September 2015. In this role, they were elected Speaker Pro Tem of the Nashville Metropolitan Council (2012-2013) and Chairman of the Council's Parks and Recreation Committee (2008-09). Carter was also a member of the Metropolitan Council Board of Ethical Conduct (2012-2013). Prior to their work in government, Todd was a partner at Stokes Bartholomew Evans (now Adams and Reese LLP) from January 1991 to December 2000, where they served as the Chairman of the Corporate & Securities Practice Group.

Carter R. Todd has a J.D. from Vanderbilt University Law School and an A.B. in Public Policy from Davidson College.
