Maria Cohen has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Maria began their career as the East Central Regional Art Director at Marriott International in 1991. Maria later joined Sodexo as the Campus Services Division - National Art Director, where they were responsible for art directing and implementing advertising and graphic design campaigns for over 900 accounts. In 2004, Maria founded Holdren Design LLC, a design and advertising agency specializing in branding, identity, promotions, illustration, and environmental design. Maria also worked as a Children's Book Illustrator at Sorella Books and as a Graphic | Web Designer at Jones Lang LaSalle. Maria then served as the Creative Director | Graphic Designer at Getaway San Diego and currently works as the Creative Director at Kisco Senior Living, where they lead the in-house creative marketing team and oversees the development of multi-channel marketing campaigns and web design.
Maria Cohen started their education in 1987 at Carnegie Mellon University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design, which they completed in 1991. In 2019, they attended UC San Diego Extended Studies for Creative Writing, though no degree was mentioned.
