Stephan Engelhardt

Stephan Engelhardt is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the Converter Center of Excellence at KK Wind Solutions since June 2022. Previously, Engelhardt held key roles at ConverterTec, where responsibilities included head of concept engineering and principal electrical system engineer, focusing on converter control for renewables and related technological developments. Before that, Engelhardt worked at Woodward Kempen GmbH as principal electrical system engineer and head of the analytics group, with a strong emphasis on frequency converter design and system simulation. Engelhardt began professional career as a senior electrical engineer at Newage Avk SEG GmbH, specializing in frequency converters for various applications. Educational background includes a doctorate in electrical engineering from the University of Duisburg-Essen, a Diplom-Ingenieur from Leibniz Universität Hannover, and an early education in banking from Sparkassenakademie Niedersachsen.
