Jamie MacAlister has a diverse work experience starting from 2007. From April to October 2007, they worked as a Retention Campaign Manager at Otto UK. They then joined Cancer Research UK in October 2007 as a Marketing Executive until May 2009. They were promoted to Senior CRM Planning Executive in May 2009 and held this position until September 2012. Additionally, from June 2011 to April 2012, they worked as a Senior CRM Delivery Executive. They continued their journey at Cancer Research UK as a Marketing Planning Manager from September 2012 to June 2014. Moving forward, they joined Marks and Spencer in June 2014 as a Brand & Marketing Manager for Sustainable Business and M&S Energy. They held this position until January 2017 when they transitioned to the role of Brand & Marketing Manager for Home and M&S Energy. In July 2018, they temporarily served as the (Acting) Head of Marketing for Menswear, followed by their appointment as the Brand & Marketing Manager for Menswear in January 2019. After leaving Marks and Spencer in March 2020, they joined Klarna in October 2020 as a Marketing Lead. In May 2023, they were promoted to the position of Head of Partner Marketing at Klarna.
Jamie MacAlister attended The University of Huddersfield from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing.
In addition to their formal education, Jamie has obtained several certifications. In 2018, they completed Squared Online. The following year, in 2019, Jamie obtained a Football Coaching Qualification - Level 1 from The Football Association. In 2020, Jamie received certifications in SEO: Keyword Strategy and Social Media Marketing: Strategy and Optimization from LinkedIn, as well as completing Klarna Marketing Academy 2.0 The Future of Shopping offered by Klarna. Most recently, in 2021, Jamie completed a Marketing Week Mini MBA in Marketing from Marketing Week Mini MBA with Mark Ritson.
