Homa Ghaemi has had a diverse work experience in the field of structural engineering. Homa started their career as a Project Manager and Structural Engineer at Fluor Corporation in 1984. After that, they worked as a Structural Engineer at Jacobs Sverdrup from 1985 to 1988, where they were involved in the design of commercial buildings and space facilities. In 1989, they joined Alan and Conrad as a Structural Engineer for a year. Since 2001, they have been working at Klein and Hoffman as the Chief Executive Officer and Senior Principal. In this role, they are responsible for strategic planning, processes, revenue forecast and growth, and financial planning. Homa also serves as the Principal in charge of the Structural Department, overseeing various responsibilities including strategic planning, business development, financial planning, project development, marketing, and restoration and repair of buildings.
Homa Ghaemi earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from The Ohio State University from 1980 to 1982. Homa then pursued further education and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from the same institution from 1982 to 1984. In 2008 to 2010, they attended Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management as an Executive MBA student, focusing on their studies in MBA.
