Jeff Fairchild

Jeff Fairchild serves as the Senior Intellectual Property Counsel at Klein Tools since March 2019, with extensive experience in patent and trademark portfolio management, counseling, licensing, and litigation support. Prior to this role, Jeff Fairchild was a Partner at Wood Phillips from October 1994 to December 2017, where responsibilities included managing a diverse client base and overseeing prosecution for various technologies across multiple industries. Earlier career experience includes positions as an Associate Attorney and Patent Agent, as well as a Summer Associate at Fitch, Even, Tabin & Flannery LLP. Jeff Fairchild began a technical career as a Senior Program Engineer at Sundstrand Aerospace, contributing to the design and development of sophisticated aerospace systems. Educational qualifications include a Juris Doctor in Intellectual Property Law from the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, complemented by a Certificate in Management from Rockford Career College.
