Jonathan Lewis has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Jonathan started their career as an Apprentice Electrician at VECA Electric & Technologies in 1988 and then worked as an Electrician at Evergreen Power Systems. Jonathan later joined EC Company where they started as a Foreman and eventually became a Project Manager/Foreman. In 2003, Jonathan founded Seraphim Energy Inc., a startup venture in the renewable energy sector, and served as the CEO until 2009 when the company was sold to Hire Electric Inc. Jonathan then became the Renewable Energy Division Director at Hire Electric, overseeing solar projects in eastern Oregon and Washington for 8 years. In 2009, Jonathan also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Columbia Gorge Community College. Currently, they are the Director of Support Services at Klickitat Valley Health and serves as the President of the Washington State Society for Healthcare Engineering (WSSHE) from 2020 to 2021.
Jonathan Lewis began their education at IBEW Local 46 JATC from 1989 to 1994, where they completed a Supervising Electrician degree in Electrical Apprenticeship. In 1985, they attended the University of Washington for three years, studying History. Additionally, in 1987-1988, Jonathan participated in a Servant's Summer Internship program at Fuller Theological Seminary. Jonathan has also obtained additional certifications, including Electrical Administrator from the Washington Department of Labor and Industries in 2003 and General Supervising Electrician from the Oregon Building Codes in October 2001.
