Rusty Dawkins

Rusty Dawkins has a wealth of experience in the media industry, particularly in meteorology and digital media coordination. Rusty most recently served as the Chief Meteorologist at KLKN-TV since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked at History Nebraska as a Digital Media Coordinator from December 2020 to July 2022. From November 2017 to December 2020, Rusty served as a Social Media Manager at the Arbor Day Foundation. Rusty also gained extensive experience as an On-Air and Digital Meteorologist at Gray Television from September 2012 to September 2017, where they played a crucial role in live broadcasting, creating/editing video and graphics, and fostering collaboration between newsrooms and management.

Rusty Dawkins earned a Bachelor's degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, completing their studies from 1997 to 2000. In addition, they obtained a certification titled "Supporting the Whole Self at Work, a Diversity and Inclusion Imperative" from LinkedIn in September 2021.
