Simran Bahia

Simran Bahia is a People Business Partner at Klue. Prior to this, they worked as a Talent Acquisition Specialist at Cansel from April 2017 to January 2020. In this role, they were responsible for full cycle recruitment for a nation-wide company with 22 locations. This included working with candidates, managers, C-suite, & other internal decision-makers.

Simran strongly values creating a positive experience for all candidates and new employees. Her goal is to ensure that candidates have an efficient application process and that they communicate throughout, providing them with status updates. The communication doesn’t stop there. Once candidates are hired, they know they can call Simran or their team for anything! They’re here to support new hires and ensure their first few weeks at Cansel are smooth sailing.

In terms of recruiting, Simran is responsible for a range of positions (entry, mid-level, & technical). Simran uses social media platforms such as Linkedin and Indeed to recruit using the Boolean search method. Simran also conducts interviews using behavioral & situational questions to assess knowledge, skills & abilities. Furthermore, they communicate with managers to coordinate/manage the interview process and maintain timely & clear communication with candidates and managers to ensure that everyone understands the status of each role.

Pre-boarding duties include sending new hires information such as first day info, online paperwork, & benefits info. Simran also conducts weekly or bi-weekly on-boarding Skype webinars with new hires.

Simran Bahia has a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Kwantlen Polytechnic University in Human Resources Management. Simran also has certification from the Coaching Association of Canada in Make Ethical Decisions and NCCP Artistic Gymnastics - Level 1. Finally, they have certification from Gymnastics Canada Gymnastique in Respect in Sport.
