As Vice President of Engineering and Corporate Principal Engineer, Mike McCall is responsible for leading, developing, and directing KMEA’s engineering program and acts as engineer of record. Mike manages and mentors engineering staff; supports all engineering and design efforts; ensures work is compliant with governing agency codes, regulations, and contract deliverables; and maintains the company standards of practice for all engineering projects in the public and private sectors.
Mike has over 30 years of professional engineering and leadership experience in a multitude of engineering disciplines, including civil engineering, surveying, structural engineering, geotechnical engineering, and forensic engineering. Over the past 20 years Mike has acted as principal engineer for his own firm where he participated in the planning, designing, project permitting, and surveying on various private, commercial, residential, and industrial projects. In addition, he has performed forensic investigations and supported case file development used in expert witness testimony, depositions, arbitrations, and construction defect litigation.
A native of California, Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from San Diego State University. He is a licensed professional engineer in the states of California and Texas.
