Camellia Hilker

Camellia Hilker has worked in a variety of roles in the scientific industry. In 2022, they began working as a Senior Statistical Analyst at WCG KMR Group. In 2021, they started working at Luminex Corporation - A DiaSorin Company as a Scientist/Data Analyst, where they developed a data portal using Python Flask and Plotly, constructed interactive data visualizations using Plotly, and utilized Tableau to trend assay results over time. In 2020, they worked as a Data Scientist (Predoctorate Researcher) at Argonne National Laboratory, where they built and optimized machine learning models using sci-kit learn, worked with the Data-Robot machine learning pipeline, and constructed interactive data-viz using Plotly/Dash. In 2017, they began working at Matrix Sciences as a Microbiology Laboratory Technician, where they ran daily PCR and ELISA analyses, setup and maintained liquid handling robots, and performed traditional culture plate analyses and biochemical species confirmation tests.

Camellia Hilker attended Brandeis University from 2016 to 2019, where they earned a Master's Degree in Bioinformatics. Prior to that, they studied Biology, General at Loyola University Chicago from 2010 to 2014 and earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.). In 2019, they also obtained a Certificate in Data Science from Metis.
