Kian van der Enden

Kian van der Enden is an accomplished scientist currently serving as the Face of Science at KNAW since March 2022, where engagement in public science communication focuses on quantum technologies. Kian is also a PhD candidate at QuTech, working on metropolitan-scale solid-state qubit entanglement for a Quantum Internet. Previous experience includes research internships at Microsoft and QuTech, as well as co-founding and leading the Delft Hyperloop team to win the inaugural SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition. Kian has a robust educational background with both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Applied Physics from Delft University of Technology, complemented by various leadership roles and contributions within academic and engineering settings.
