Colm Kavanagh

Colm Kavanagh has worked in the software engineering field since 2012. Colm's first job was as a Software Engineering Intern at j2 Global. Colm then moved on to Wood Group Kenny as a Software Engineer, where they were responsible for MCS Kenny's software applications, including Flexcom, and bespoke software solutions for clients in the Oil and Gas Industry. In 2016, they joined Acorn Life as a Software Engineer, working on software systems that supported both sales and policy administration staff for a life assurance provider. In 2017, they moved to Codec Ireland as a .NET Developer, and then to Ziff Davis as a Software Engineer. In this role, they worked on a voice VOIP platform, and was later promoted to Lead Software Engineer with oversight over the .NET software development team. Colm is currently employed at Kneat Solutions as a Senior Software Engineer.

Colm Kavanagh attended the University of Galway from 2006 to 2010, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Civil Engineering. Colm then returned to the University of Galway from 2011 to 2012, where they earned a Higher Diploma (HDip) in Software Design and Development.
