Joost Wevers

Joost Wevers is a seasoned financial advisor and sports coach with a diverse background in both finance and hockey training. Currently serving as a Financieel adviseur at Gemeente Groningen since October 2022, Joost also holds multiple coaching positions, including Trainer for JO-18 and Dames 1 at Hockeyclub Groningen and Trainer Coach for various age groups with KNHB. Past experience includes roles at Gemeente Heerenveen and Gemeente Midden-Groningen. With a strong foundation in finance, Joost earned a Master of Science in Controlling and a Bachelor of Science in Accountancy & Controlling from the University of Groningen. While also dedicating significant time to hockey, Joost has been involved with various clubs since 2007, including a key role as Technisch Coördinator at Hockeyclub GHBS Groningen, overseeing the operations of a major sports club.
