Irene Benson

Irene Benson is an accomplished fundraising and development professional with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector. As the Director of Development at Know Your Lemons Foundation, Inc. since April 2022, Irene focuses on transforming breast cancer awareness into actionable initiatives. Concurrently, Irene serves as a Fundraising Strategy Consultant for Money for Change, where comprehensive fundraising strategies are crafted to support organizations' missions. Previous roles include Director of Special Events at the NC League of Conservation Voters, Field Director for The Public Interest Network, and Community Organizer for Obama for America, where significant achievements included registering over 8,000 young voters. Irene holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Colorado Denver and has also studied at the College of Charleston.
