Chad Melovich

Chad Melovich has extensive work experience in risk management, audit, and compliance. Chad currently holds the position of VP Risk and Controls at KnowBe4. Previously, they served as the Data Protection Officer and VP for Audit, Risk, and Compliance at Syniverse from May 2009 to June 2020, where they developed and implemented the company's risk and compliance program. Before that, Chad was the Chief Audit Executive at TECO Energy from August 2006 to May 2009, managing the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance efforts and leading a team of IT and financial professionals. Chad also worked as a Senior Managing Director at Sunera LLC from April 2005 to August 2006, overseeing engagements for Fortune 500 companies. Prior to that, Chad held the role of Information Risk Manager at KPMG from May 2004 to April 2005, where they developed risk-based services and collaborated with clients on operational performance improvement. Chad started their career as the Director of Internal Audit at FIS (formerly Certegy) from August 1998 to May 2004, leading financial and operational reviews and coordinating due diligence for acquisitions.

Chad Melovich attended the University of South Florida from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy. Chad also holds additional certifications, including Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM) from the IAPP - International Association of Privacy Professionals, Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) from ISACA, and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) from the Board of Accountancy.
