Katey Shirey, PhD, is a seasoned education consultant with extensive experience in STEAM education and professional development. Currently, Katey serves as a Professional Development Consultant at Engineering for US All, while also operating eduKatey LLC, where the focus is on developing integrated-STEAM courses and conducting research on teaching practices. Katey has held multiple roles including Independent Education Consultant at UL Research Institutes and Senior Fellow at Knowles Teacher Initiative, where responsibilities included designing professional development and serving as an instructional coach. Prior experience includes roles as a Program Manager and Teaching Fellow at the University of Maryland, as well as a Physics Teacher in Arlington Public Schools and an Antarctic Educator with PolarTREC. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Education from the University of Maryland, a Master's degree in Secondary Education from the University of Virginia, and dual Bachelor's degrees in Fine and Studio Arts and Physics from the University of Virginia.
