Michelle Caine is an experienced educator currently serving as a High School Science Teacher at Newton Public Schools and Boston Public Schools since January 2017. Caine specializes in teaching various science subjects, including Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Sexuality Health, and Environmental Science, and employs culturally responsive, inquiry-based methods aligned with Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and Next Generation Science Standards. In addition to teaching, Caine is a Teaching Fellow with the Knowles Teacher Initiative, where analytical skills are utilized to influence STEM education policy and promote diversity within the organization. Previous roles include teaching Chemistry at the Cambridge Harvard Summer Academy and serving as a Senior Research Analyst at UniversalGiving, among others. Caine holds a Master’s Degree in Secondary Education and Teaching from Harvard Graduate School of Education and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, Immunology, and Molecular Genetics from UCLA.
